Question: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MISSION HOLDER AND A FIELD AUDITOR (OR FIELD GROUP)?
Answer: A key difference is that missions are entitled to have Field Staff Members which means they can have hundreds of Scientologists working for them as field staff, bringing new people onto service at the mission. The mission in turn pays them Field Staff Member commissions. A field auditor/group is not permitted to have the benefits of field staff members.
Missions are also licensed to deliver higher training, i.e.—Student Hat Course, Method One Co-Audit, TRs and Objectives and the PTS/SP Course. Hence opening a mission makes more services available to your local community.
Another key advantage is that mission staff can play the L. Ron Hubbard Mission Birthday Game, which links them to an international force working to salvage the planet. This game creates huge expansion for any mission.
Other benefits like direct consultancy, regional assistance, quality promotional items and regular conventions are covered elsewhere in this presentation.
