About Mr. David Miscavige
David Miscavige is Chairman of the Board of Religious Technology Center (RTC), a non-profit organization formed in 1982 to preserve, maintain and protect the Scientology religion.
Mr. Miscavige has been the worldwide ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion for more than 20 years. During this period, the Church has experienced unprecedented expansion of the religion as a worldwide movement — reflected in more than 6,000 churches, missions and centers across 159 nations — due in no small part to Mr. Miscavige’s unflagging dedication to upholding the purity and integrity of L. Ron Hubbard’s legacy.
Missions play a vital role in the growth of Scientology, a fact Mr. Miscavige has repeatedly emphasized. In his address to thousands of Scientologists around the world in June 2006, Mr. Miscavige personally gave a visual presentation of the openings of 43 new missions since the start of the year, which he described as “expansion at whole new orders of magnitude.”
